We have a mixed flock of egg layers that spend their days roaming the farm browsing for their favorite organic snacks and dust bathing in the soft dirt under the front porch.
Eggs are collected daily from nesting boxes (and occasionally from bag of shavings). We only wash our eggs in water and store them in clean cartons in refrigerator.
While the chickens enjoy foraging their own natural foods from around the farm, we also offer them feed from a local mill. This feed is specifically formulated to meet the nutritional needs of laying hens to keep them healthy, happy and productive.
